Entries for April 2010

Are you looking for a meaningful way to put your faith into action for our church community? Our Haiti Ministry will need a new chairperson by the end of May. This ministry helps St. Philip Parish in its work with our sister parish in Haiti. Please see the bulletin insert for more information about what has been done and our current effort in meeting additional needs. For more information about this ministry, please contact Vicki Vogt, Social Action Ministry Chair at 791-1232.

As we look for a new chair, we thank Rena Burns for her enthusiasm and dedication to this ministry and for all that she has done to serve both St.
Philip Parish and the people of St. Charles Borromee.

Most of our photo directories have been handed out, however we still have some that have not been picked up. On May 1 and 2 we will have them available in the Narthex for final pick-up. If you had your photo made for the directory and have not received your photo directory, PLEASE plan on picking them up after one of the Masses. This will be your last chance to pick up your photo directories in a planned effort.

Two recent events at St. Philip were a huge successes. The Men's Club annual St. Patrick's Day dance was a fun evening of dinner dancing and an auction. And our Recent Business fair saw almost a hundred vendors and crowds of over 1,000 parishioners check out what business their fellow parishioners owned. It was a great and lucrative time for all.
