St. Philip welcomes Judy Goodheart as the new coordinator of the Helping Hands Ministry. Judy brings a great deal of experience to Helping Hands as she was the Manager of the Manor at Steeplechase Retirement Facility for eight years where she daily served the senior population. She replaces Caroline Walsh who faithfully served in the ministry for many years.
Helping Hands provides short-term assistance to St. Philip parishioners who are going through a difficult time due to an illness, accident, or an incapacitating physical condition. Helping Hands lightens the burden of these parishioners by assisting with: running errands, light housekeeping, providing meals, minor home repairs and transportation.
As a volunteer of this ministry, you may assist as much or as little as you prefer and you may choose to help only in areas that appeal the most to you.
For questions or to join this ministry, please contact: Judy Goodheart, Helping Hands Coordinator at jgoodheart@att.net or 615-790-2862.
