Tracy and her husband Lee have been members of our parish for 14 years.  They have  two daughters, Anna and Maggie.  Tracy has been involved in many aspects of our religious education program.  Most recently, she was the first person trained in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for our pre-school through Kindergarten CCD program.  Her past experience in formation at St. Philip includes:
Serving as a catechist for our high school program

Michaela Miller has accepted the position of Youth Ministry Coordinator for Catechesis and is responsible for grades 6 through 12.

Michaela and her husband Bryan have been members of St. Philip since 2007.  They have two daughters Brianna and Makenna and a son Dominic.  Michaela has actually been a member here since 1989.  She and her parents moved here when Michaela was five years old. As a young person, Michaela was involved in our CCD and youth programs.  As an adult, she has been a catechist with us in our high school program.  She brings   these experiences with her to this new role.  Michaela is a graduate of Aquinas College with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Theology.  She is also a certified catechist in the Diocese of Nashville.

Deepan Rajaratnam has accepted the position of Youth Ministry Coordinator for Activities.  Deepan and his family came to St. Philip in 2000, when Deepan was 13 years old.  As a youth, he was involved in our youth programs and was a member of the choir.  Deepan is a graduate of UT Knoxville, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering and minor in Philosophy.  Deepan was active in campus ministry at UT-Knoxville and was the Charter Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus Council at UT-Knoxville.

Judy Linneman will continue in her role as Administrative Assistant for Religious Education.

Kim Leisinger will transition from her role in CCD to focus more on administration.

We are very happy with the changes that we are making and look forward to better serving the needs of our parish.  We will commission Tracy, Michaela and Deepan in   their new roles during the 11:00AM Mass on Sunday, October 30.
